ralo President, Robert Anagnostopoulos,
hands-on and in-action, last day of the November 2021 harvest, in the rain...
...the fruit of ralo Presidential (+ one brother's) labours
... if James Taylor loved olive oil, the lyrics might have gone "...how bitter it is, to be loved by you..."

“THE LATEST, SHORTEST NEWSLETTER”
This newsletter is the latest in coming and will be shorter than what we are all used to.
COMING VERY SOON!
The fresh olive oil is now in Canada.
After an inordinate and unexpected delay, it has finally cleared customs. In about a week or so it will be in our hands.
"If your doggie can't do this...THEN YOU DO IT!'
WE'VE SEEN FIRES AND WE'VE SEEN RAIN ... AND VERY DRY DAYS WE THOUGHT WOULD NEVER END
The 2021 growing year was challenging and difficult.
The effects of extreme drought, raging wildfires, and a decreased crop were compounded by unrelenting rains.
The rain interrupted the harvest for several weeks, causing considerable fruit loss and resulting in many growers abandoning what fruit remained on the trees (or on the ground where it had fallen).
While quantity was lower than average the silver lining was that the all-important quality variable was above average.
WAITING ING FOR THE "TIN MAN"
A shortage of raw materials for making tins meant that 5 litre tins were unavailable for several months.
Hence, we had an unusual delay in the fresh oil leaving Greece.
2022 FRESH OILS: ONE ORGANIC, ONE NON-ORGANIC
We have certified organic IONIAN olive oil, and non-organic 42TREES.
Both are strong, robust, full-flavoured oils at the medium-high to high-intensity level.
We will not have any other growers oils this year (ie no KORONI, KALAMATA or ARGOLID).
If you prefer “milder” oils, then get your hands on whatever bottles of 2021 KORONI or KALAMATA olive oils remain before they are completely sold out.
We are completely sold out of 5 Litre Tins of our 2021 oils.
SPECIAL RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE EMERGENCIES
If you have an immediate emergency and can't wait, we will release a handful of 5 Litre tins of Robert's family's oil, harvested by Robert and his brother in November 2020. The price is $105 per tin.
This is the cleanest of oils, pressed from olives grown in two groves on the banks of a mythical river.
Nothing has fallen on these olive trees beyond sunlight and rain.
In a herculean display of objectivity, Robert rated his family's oil the best of all our oils that season.
For the doubting Thomases in the crowd, we will also release a small number of tins of last year's Koroni and Kalamata organic oils and 42Trees non-organic, also from our own pantries.
WE WILL SELL OUT EARLY IN 2022
We have brought in less fresh oil than what we sold last year.
Unlike last year, we do not have any meaningful quantities of last year's oils in stock to keep you going if you run out.
This means that if you do not place your pre-orders and you later realize you need fresh olive oil of the highest quality, there is a strong probability that we will not have any for you.
Remember, with the necessary price increases this year in both Tin and bottle prices, the way to turn back the price clock is to buy via pre-order.
